Al-Mathuraa

أَعُوذُ بِاللَّهِ السَّمِيعِ الْعَلِيمِ مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ الرَّجِيمِ

I seek refuge in Allah from the temptations of the cursed devil

Ayatul Kursi
اَللّٰهُ لَآ اِلٰهَ اِلَّا هُوَۚ اَلْحَيُّ الْقَيُّوْمُ ەۚ لَا تَأْخُذُهٗ سِنَةٌ وَّلَا نَوْمٌۗ لَهٗ مَا فِى السَّمٰوٰتِ وَمَا فِى الْاَرْضِۗ مَنْ ذَا الَّذِيْ يَشْفَعُ عِنْدَهٗٓ اِلَّا بِاِذْنِهٖۗ يَعْلَمُ مَا بَيْنَ اَيْدِيْهِمْ وَمَا خَلْفَهُمْۚ وَلَا يُحِيْطُوْنَ بِشَيْءٍ مِّنْ عِلْمِهٖٓ اِلَّا بِمَا شَاۤءَۚ وَسِعَ كُرْسِيُّهُ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالْاَرْضَۚ وَلَا يَـُٔوْدُهٗ حِفْظُهُمَاۚ وَهُوَ الْعَلِيُّ الْعَظِيْمُ

Allah, there is no god but Him, the Almighty, who continually takes care of (His creatures). He was not struck by drowsiness nor (nor) by sleep. To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth. No one can intercede on His side without His permission. He knows what is before them and what is behind them. They do not know anything from His knowledge, except what He wills. His seat (knowledge and power) covers the heavens and the earth. He didn’t find it difficult to care for both of them. He is the Most High, the Most Great.

Al-Ikhlas

Read 3 times

بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْمِ

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

قُلْ هُوَ اللّٰهُ اَحَدٌۚ

1. Say (Prophet Muhammad), “He is the One and Only Allah.

اَللّٰهُ الصَّمَدُۚ

2. Allah is the place to ask for everything.

وَلَمْ يَكُنْ لَّهٗ كُفُوًا اَحَدٌ

3. He neither begat nor was he begotten

لَمْ يَلِدْ وَلَمْ يُوْلَدْۙ

4. And there is nothing equal to Him.

Al-Falaq

Read 3 times

بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْمِ

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

قُلْ اَعُوْذُ بِرَبِّ الْفَلَقِۙ

1. Say (Prophet Muhammad), “I seek refuge in God who (guards) the dawn (dawn)

مِنْ شَرِّ مَا خَلَقَۙ

2. From evil (creatures that) He created,

وَمِنْ شَرِّ غَاسِقٍ اِذَا وَقَبَۙ

3. From the evil of the night when it is pitch black,

وَمِنْ شَرِّ النَّفّٰثٰتِ فِى الْعُقَدِۙ

4. From the evil of the women (witches) who blow on the gussets (strings),

وَمِنْ شَرِّ حَاسِدٍ اِذَا حَسَدَ ࣖ

5. And from the evil of an envious person when he is envious.

An-Nas

Read 3 times

بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْمِ

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

قُلْ اَعُوْذُ بِرَبِّ النَّاسِۙ

1. Say (Prophet Muhammad), “I seek refuge in the God of mankind,

مَلِكِ النَّاسِۙ

2. The King of humans,

اِلٰهِ النَّاسِۙ

3. The God of humankind,

مِنْ شَرِّ الْوَسْوَاسِ ەۙ الْخَنَّاسِۖ

4. From the evil of the lurking whisperer—

الَّذِيْ يُوَسْوِسُ فِيْ صُدُوْرِ النَّاسِۙ

5. Who whispers into the hearts of humankind—

مِنَ الْجِنَّةِ وَالنَّاسِ ࣖ

6. From among jinn and humankind.

Al-Matsuraa Dua

Hr. Muslim: 4/2088

بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْمِ

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

أَصْبَحْنَا وَأَصْبَحَ الْمُلْكُ لِلَّهِ، وَالْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ، لاَ إِلَـهَ إِلاَّ اللهُ وَحْدَهُ لاَ شَرِيْكَ لَهُ، لَهُ الْمُلْكُ وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيْرُ. رَبِّ أَسْأَلُكَ خَيْرَ مَا فِيْ هَذَا الْيَوْمِ وَخَيْرَ مَا بَعْدَهُ، وَأَعُوْذُ بِكَ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا فِيْ هَذَا الْيَوْمِ وَشَرِّ مَا بَعْدَهُ، رَبِّ أَعُوْذُ بِكَ مِنَ الْكَسَلِ وَسُوْءِ الْكِبَرِ، رَبِّ أَعُوْذُ بِكَ مِنْ عَذَابٍ فِي النَّارِ وَعَذَابٍ فِي الْقَبْرِ

We have entered the morning time, and the kingdom belongs only to Allah, praise be to Allah. There is no God (who has the right to be worshipped) except Allah Almighty, He has no partners. To Him is the kingdom and to Him is the praise. He is the Almighty over everything. O Lord, I ask You for goodness on this day and goodness after that. I seek refuge in You from the evil of this day and the evil that will come after. O Lord, I seek refuge in You from laziness and ugliness in old age. O God! I seek refuge in You from torment in Hell and the grave.

أَمْسَيْنَا وَأَمْسَى الْمُلْكُ لِلَّهِ، وَالْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ، لاَ إِلَـهَ إِلاَّ اللهُ وَحْدَهُ لاَ شَرِيْكَ لَهُ، لَهُ الْمُلْكُ وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيْرُ. رَبِّ أَسْأَلُكَ خَيْرَ مَا فِيْ هَذِهِ اللَّيْلَةِ وَخَيْرَ مَا بَعْدَهَا، وَأَعُوْذُ بِكَ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا فِي هَذِهِ اللَّيْلَةِ وَشَرِّ مَا بَعْدَهَا، رَبِّ أَعُوْذُ بِكَ مِنَ الْكَسَلِ وَسُوْءِ الْكِبَرِ، رَبِّ أَعُوْذُ بِكَ مِنْ عَذَابٍ فِي النَّارِ وَعَذَابٍ فِي الْقَبْرِ

Al-Matsuraa Dua (2)

HR. At-Tirmidzi: 5/466

اَللَّهُمَّ بِكَ أَصْبَحْنَا، وَبِكَ أَمْسَيْنَا، وَبِكَ نَحْيَا، وَبِكَ نَمُوْتُ وَإِلَيْكَ النُّشُوْرُ

O Allah, with Your grace and help we enter the morning, and with Your grace and help we enter the evening. By Your grace and help we live and by Your will we die. And unto You is the resurrection (of all creatures).

اَللَّهُمَّ بِكَ أَمْسَيْنَا، وَبِكَ أَصْبَحْنَا، وَبِكَ نَحْيَا، وَبِكَ نَمُوْتُ وَإِلَيْكَ الْـمَصِيْرُ

O Allah, with Your grace and help we enter the evening, and with Your grace and help we enter the morning. By Your grace and help we live and by Your will we die. And to You is the return (for all creatures)

Al-Matsuraa Dua (3)

HR. Al-Bukhari: 7/150

اَللَّهُمَّ أَنْتَ رَبِّيْ لاَ إِلَـهَ إِلاَّ أَنْتَ، خَلَقْتَنِيْ وَأَنَا عَبْدُكَ، وَأَنَا عَلَى عَهْدِكَ وَوَعْدِكَ مَا اسْتَطَعْتُ، أَعُوْذُ بِكَ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا صَنَعْتُ، أَبُوْءُ لَكَ بِنِعْمَتِكَ عَلَيَّ، وَأَبُوْءُ بِذَنْبِيْ فَاغْفِرْ لِيْ فَإِنَّهُ لاَ يَغْفِرُ الذُّنُوْبَ إِلاَّ أَنْتَ

Dear Allah! You are my God, there is no god worthy of worship except You, You are the one who created me. I am Your servant. I will be faithful to my covenant with You as much as I can. I seek refuge in You from the evil that I have done. I acknowledge Your blessings on me and I confess my sins, therefore, forgive me. Indeed, no one forgives sins except You.

Al-Matsuraa Dua (4)

Read 4 times

HR. Abu Daud: 4/317

اَللَّهُمَّ إِنِّيْ أَصْبَحْتُ أُشْهِدُ وَأُشْهِدُ حَمَلَةَ عَرْشِكَ، وَمَلاَئِكَتَكَ وَجَمِيْعَ خَلْقِكَ، أَنَّكَ أَنْتَ اللهُ لاَ إِلَـهَ إِلاَّ أَنْتَ وَحْدَكَ لاَ شَرِيْكَ لَكَ، وَأَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا عَبْدُكَ وَرَسُوْلُكَ. (أَرْبَعَ مَرَّاتٍ)

Dear Allah! Indeed, in the morning I testify to You, the angel who bears Your throne, the angels and all Your creatures, that indeed You are Allah, there is no god worthy of worship except You, the One, You have no partner and indeed Muhammad is Your servant and messenger

اَللَّهُمَّ إِنِّيْ أَمْسَيْتُ أُشْهِدُ وَأُشْهِدُ حَمَلَةَ عَرْشِكَ، وَمَلاَئِكَتَكَ وَجَمِيْعَ خَلْقِكَ، أَنَّكَ أَنْتَ اللهُ لاَ إِلَـهَ إِلاَّ أَنْتَ وَحْدَكَ لاَ شَرِيْكَ لَكَ، وَأَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا عَبْدُكَ وَرَسُوْلُكَ. (أَرْبَعَ مَرَّاتٍ)

O Allah! Indeed, in the evening I testify to You, the angel who bears Your throne, the angels and all Your creatures, that indeed You are Allah, there is no god worthy of worship except You, the One, You have no partner and indeed Muhammad is Your servant and messenger

Al-Matsuraa Dua (5)

HR. Abu Daud: 4/318

اَللَّهُمَّ مَا أَصْبَحَ بِيْ مِنْ نِعْمَةٍ أَوْ بِأَحَدٍ مِنْ خَلْقِكَ فَمِنْكَ وَحْدَكَ لاَ شَرِيْكَ لَكَ، فَلَكَ الْحَمْدُ وَلَكَ الشُّكْرُ

Dear Allah! The favors I receive or receive from someone among Your creatures this morning are from You. You are Almighty, You have no partners. To You all praise and to You thanksgiving (from all Your creatures)

اَللَّهُمَّ مَا أَمْسَى بِيْ مِنْ نِعْمَةٍ أَوْ بِأَحَدٍ مِنْ خَلْقِكَ فَمِنْكَ وَحْدَكَ لاَ شَرِيْكَ لَكَ، فَلَكَ الْحَمْدُ وَلَكَ الشُّكْرُ

Dear Allah! The favors I receive or receive from someone among Your creatures this evening are from You. You are Almighty, You have no partners. To You all praise and to You thanksgiving (from all Your creatures)

Al-Matsuraa Dua (6)

HR. Abu Daud: 4/324

اَللَّهُمَّ عَافِنِيْ فِيْ بَدَنِيْ، اَللَّهُمَّ عَافِنِيْ فِيْ سَمْعِيْ، اَللَّهُمَّ عَافِنِيْ فِيْ بَصَرِيْ، لاَ إِلَـهَ إِلاَّ أَنْتَ، اَللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوْذُ بِكَ مِنَ الْكُفْرِ وَالْفَقْرِ، وَأَعُوْذُ بِكَ مِنْ عَذَابِ الْقَبْرِ، لاَ إِلَـهَ إِلاَّ أَنْتَ. (ثَلاَثَ مَرَّاتٍ)

O Allah! Save my body (from disease and what I don’t want). O Allah, save my hearing (from disease and immorality or something that I don’t want). O Allah, save my sight, there is no god (who has the right to be worshipped) except You. Dear Allah! Indeed, I seek refuge in You from disbelief and poverty. I seek refuge in You from the torment of the grave, there is no God (who has the right to be worshipped) except You.” (Read three times in the morning and evening)

Al-Matsuraa Dua (7)

Read 7 times

HR. Abu Daud: 4/321

حَسْبِيَ اللهُ لاَ إِلَـهَ إِلاَّ هُوَ عَلَيْهِ تَوَكَّلْتُ وَهُوَ رَبُّ الْعَرْشِ الْعَظِيْمِ. (سَبْعَ مَرَّاتٍ)

It is Allah who suffices (all my needs), there is no God (who has the right to be worshipped) except Him, in Him I put my trust. He is the God who controls the great Throne.” (Read seven times in the morning and evening)

Al-Matsuraa Dua (8)

HR. Abu Daud: 4/321

اَللَّهُمَّ إِنِّيْ أَسْأَلُكَ الْعَفْوَ وَالْعَافِيَةَ فِي الدُّنْيَا وَاْلآخِرَةِ، اَللَّهُمَّ إِنِّيْ أَسْأَلُكَ الْعَفْوَ وَالْعَافِيَةَ فِي دِيْنِيْ وَدُنْيَايَ وَأَهْلِيْ وَمَالِيْ. اللَّهُمَّ اسْتُرْ عَوْرَاتِى وَآمِنْ رَوْعَاتِى.  اَللَّهُمَّ احْفَظْنِيْ مِنْ بَيْنِ يَدَيَّ، وَمِنْ خَلْفِيْ، وَعَنْ يَمِيْنِيْ وَعَنْ شِمَالِيْ، وَمِنْ فَوْقِيْ، وَأَعُوْذُ بِعَظَمَتِكَ أَنْ أُغْتَالَ مِنْ تَحْتِيْ

O Allah! Indeed, I ask You for forgiveness and safety in this world and the hereafter. O Allah, truly I ask You for forgiveness and safety in my religion, my worldly (life), my family and my wealth. O Allah, cover my nakedness (disgrace and something that is not worthy of being seen) and give peace to my heart. Dear Allah! Take care of me from the front, behind, right, left and above me. I seek refuge in Your greatness, so that I do not encounter danger from beneath me.

Al-Matsuraa Dua (9)

At-Tirmidzi dan Abu Dawud

اَللَّهُمَّ عَالِمَ الْغَيْبِ وَالشَّهَادَةِ فَاطِرَ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَاْلأَرْضِ، رَبَّ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ وَمَلِيْكَهُ، أَشْهَدُ أَنْ لاَ إِلَـهَ إِلاَّ أَنْتَ، أَعُوْذُ بِكَ مِنْ شَرِّ نَفْسِيْ، وَمِنْ شَرِّ الشَّيْطَانِ وَشِرْكِهِ، وَأَنْ أَقْتَرِفَ عَلَى نَفْسِيْ سُوْءًا أَوْ أَجُرُّهُ إِلَى مُسْلِمٍ

O Allah! The All-Knower of the unseen and the real, O God, creator of heaven and earth, Lord of all things and ruler over them. I testify that there is no God worthy of worship except You. I seek refuge in You from the evil of myself, Satan and his armies, or I carry out evil against myself or push Muslims against it.

Al-Matsuraa Dua (10)

Read 3 times

HR. Abu Daud: 4/323

بِسْمِ اللهِ لاَ يَضُرُّ مَعَ اسْمِهِ شَيْءٌ فِي اْلأَرْضِ وَلاَ فِي السَّمَاءِ وَهُوَ السَّمِيْعُ الْعَلِيْمُ. (ثَلاَثَ مَرَّاتٍ)

In the name of Allah, when spoken, everything on earth and sky will not be dangerous, He is the All-Hearing, All-Knowing.

Al-Matsuraa Dua (11)

Read 3 times

HR. Abu Daud: 4/323

رَضِيْتُ بِاللهِ رَبًّا، وَبِاْلإِسْلاَمِ دِيْنًا، وَبِمُحَمَّدٍ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَبِيًّا. (ثَلاَثَ مَرَّاتٍ)

I accept Allah as God, Islam as a religion and Muhammad as a prophet (sent by Allah).

Al-Matsuraa Dua (12)

HR. Al-Hakim

يَا حَيُّ يَا قَيُّوْمُ بِرَحْمَتِكَ أَسْتَغِيْثُ، أَصْلِحْ لِيْ شَأْنِيْ كُلَّهُ وَلاَ تَكِلْنِيْ إِلَى نَفْسِيْ طَرْفَةَ عَيْنٍ

O Almighty God, O God Who Stands Alone (does not need everything), with Your grace I ask for help, fix all my affairs and do not delegate (all matters) to me even for the blink of an eye.

Al-Matsuraa Dua (13)

HR. Abu Dawud: 4/322

أَصْبَحْنَا وَأَصْبَحَ الْمُلْكُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِيْنَ، اَللَّهُمَّ إِنِّيْ أَسْأَلُكَ خَيْرَ هَذَا الْيَوْمِ: فَتْحَهُ، وَنَصْرَهُ وَنُوْرَهُ، وَبَرَكَتَهُ، وَهُدَاهُ، وَأَعُوْذُ بِكَ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا فِيْهِ وَشَرِّ مَا بَعْدَهُ

We entered the morning, while the kingdom belongs only to Allah, the Lord of nature. O Allah, truly I ask You to obtain goodness, opening (grace), help, light, blessings and guidance on this day. I seek refuge in You from the evil that is in it and the evil that follows.

أَمْسَيْنَا وَأَمْسَى الْمُلْكُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِيْنَ، اَللَّهُمَّ إِنِّيْ أَسْأَلُكَ خَيْرَ هَذِهِ اللَّيْلَةِ؛ فَتْحَهَا، وَنَصْرَهَا وَنُوْرَهَا، وَبَرَكَتَهَا، وَهُدَاهَا، وَأَعُوْذُ بِكَ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا فِيْهَا وَشَرِّ مَا بَعْدَهَا

Al-Matsuraa Dua (14)

HR. Ahmad: 3/406-407, 5/123

أَصْبَحْنَا عَلَى فِطْرَةِ اْلإِسْلاَمِ وَعَلَى كَلِمَةِ اْلإِخْلاَصِ، وَعَلَى دِيْنِ نَبِيِّنَا مُحَمَّدٍ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَعَلى مِلَّةِ أَبِيْنَا إِبْرَاهِيْمَ، حَنِيْفًا مُسْلِمًا وَمَا كَانَ مِنَ الْمُشْرِكِيْ

In the morning, we hold the religion of Islam, the word of sincerity, the religion of our Prophet Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم, and the religion of our father Ibrahim, who stood on the straight path, was Muslim and was not one of the polytheists.

أَمسَيْنَا عَلَى فِطْرَةِ اْلإِسْلاَمِ وَعَلَى كَلِمَةِ اْلإِخْلاَصِ، وَعَلَى دِيْنِ نَبِيِّنَا مُحَمَّدٍ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، وَعَلَى مِلَّةِ أَبِيْنَا إِبْرَاهِيْمَ، حَنِيْفًا مُسْلِمًا وَمَا كَانَ مِنَ الْمُشْرِكِيْنَ

Glory be to Allah and all praise (be to Him)

Al-Matsuraa Dua (16)

HR. Abu Dawud: 4/319

لاَ إِلَـهَ إِلاَّ اللهُ وَحْدَهُ لاَ شَرِيْكَ لَهُ، لَهُ الْمُلْكُ وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيْرُ

There is no god worthy of worship except Allah Almighty, He has no partners. To Him is the kingdom and all praise. He is the one who has power over everything.

Al-Matsuraa Dua (17)

Read 3 times in the morning

HR. Muslim: 4/2090

سُبْحَانَ اللهِ وَبِحَمْدِهِ: عَدَدَ خَلْقِهِ، وَرِضَا نَفْسِهِ، وَزِنَةَ عَرْشِهِ وَمِدَادَ كَلِمَاتِهِ. (ثلاس مرات إذا أصبح)

Glory be to Allah, I praise Him as much as His creatures, as much as His will, as much as the weight of His throne and as much as the ink of His words.

Al-Matsuraa Dua (18)

Read in the morning

HR. Ibnu Majah: 925

للَّهُمَّ إِنِّيْ أَسْأَلُكَ عِلْمًا نَافِعًا، وَرِزْقًا طَيِّبًا، وَعَمَلاً مُتَقَبَّلاً. (إذا أصبح)

O Allah, I truly ask You for useful knowledge, good sustenance and accepted deeds.

Al-Matsuraa Dua (19)

100 times

HR. Al-Bukhari: 11/101

أَسْتَغْفِرُ اللهَ وَأَتُوْبُ إِلَيْهِ. (مائة مرة في اليوم)

I ask Allah for forgiveness and repent to Him.

Al-Matsuraa Dua (19)

3 times in the evening

HR. Ahmad 2/290

أَعُوْذُ بِكَلِمَاتِ اللهِ التَّامَّاتِ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا خَلَقَ. (ثلاس مرات إذا أمسى)

I seek refuge in the perfect words of Allah from the evil of His creation

Al-Matsuraa Dua (20)

10 times

At-Thabrani

اَللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ وَسَلِّمْ عَلَى نَبِيِّنَا مُحَمَّدٍ. (عشر مرات)

O Allah, bestow blessings and greetings on our Prophet Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم.
